Are Overweight Emergency Workers a Problem for the Profession?
Go to any trade show, and you will see overweight and unfit firefighters, paramedics, EMTs and rescue personnel. Everyone knows that obesity is dangerous to ones health. But are overweight emergency workers also a problem for the profession because they project a bad image to the public? Do emergency personnel have an obligation to set a good example for the public?
